You need to be HIPAA compliant. We have your solution.

We have HIPAA compliance solutions for healthcare providers, group health plans, managed care, and professional services companies. Each solution has been developed to meet the needs of its market. For example, our healthcare provider solutions contain compliance products for the dental, medical, and pharmacy markets. The pharmacy solution has different components than the dental and medical solutions due to the unique nature of the pharmacist's position and relationship to the patient. Similarly, our group health plan solution (GHP), contains policies, forms, and documents needed for employers that are covered entities under HIPAA. Employers have different issues to deal with relating to HIPAA compliance than the healthcare provider, and HIPAANow! GHP was created for those critical differences.

What is HIPAA?

HIPAA is the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. It covers electronic health care transactions, and the privacy and the security of patient information.

The HIPAA Transaction and Privacy regulations require health care provider compliance in 2003. HIPAA was enacted in 1996 to give employees the ability to make their company health insurance portable. Over the years, it has evolved to include the following standards:

  • Formats for the electronic transmission of patient information
  • Processes for protecting the privacy of patient information
  • Processes for ensuring the security of patient information
The laws are complex and difficult to understand. It can take a small to medium size practice between 500-1000 hours to develop, complete and implement a compliance plan on its own. HIPAANow! will help you reach compliance in less than 1/10th that time!
